Brokeoff Mountain

One of the supposed “hardest“ hikes in Lassen National Park, Brokeoff Mountain is a 7 mile trail the climbs the park’s second highest peak. Naturally, we drove out and started the hike with two and a half hours til dark. We were welcomed to the top by an amazing sunset, definitely one of my favorites.

Hiking up quickly, with the destination straight ahead, and high up.

A view of everything. mount Diller and Eagle peak in line in the foreground, Lassen peak in the center, Lake Helen to the right of the peak, and Chaos Crags to the left of the peak.

A definite favorite thanks to nature, and the clouds.
